Program Description
The Allied Health Services certificate is designed for students seeking a career in health care. The program contains courses in blood collection and ECG. Graduates of this program will be eligible to sit for national certification exams for phlebotomy and electrocardiography (ECG). Graduates of this program with an overall GPA of 2.5 will be eligible to have their name placed on the wait list for the Radiologic Technology degree program.
Admissions Criteria
To be eligible for admission into the Rad Tech program, students must earn a grade of ‘B’ or higher in both BIO 210 and BIO 211. Students who receive a grade of ‘C.’ ‘D,’ ‘F,’ ‘W,’ or ‘WF’ in either course on two attempts will not be eligible to apply to the Rad Tech program. A waiting period of five (5) years is required before retaking BIO 210 or BIO 211 to achieve the required grade of B or better for program admission eligibility.
