CT.MFC - Manufacturing Fundamentals, CT

The Manufacturing Fundamentals certificate will help maximize student success by exposing students to skill sets and curriculum across multiple disciplines within manufacturing. By primarily targeting the dual enrollment population, incumbent workers, and local industry up skilling needs related to machine tool skills and welding skills. This new certificate will create a successful partnership between the Machine Tool and Welding departments. A standardized approach via this combined certificate will enhance student success, improve, and streamline communication with external partners, and refine internal college practices and procedures regarding the ability of students to matriculate into either the Machine Tool degree program or the Welding degree program seamlessly should they desire additional training in any of these two areas of manufacturing.
