The Law Enforcement certificate program prepares graduates for entry-level roles in law enforcement. Personal traits such as honesty, sound judgment, integrity, and a sense of responsibility are important in the law enforcement field. People who have a desire to help others, strong communication skills, high moral and ethical conduct, and respect for others are important in public service. Those working in law enforcement are subject to criminal background and credit history checks, lie detector tests, and drug screenings. Fitness tests and driving license/records may be needed for employment.
